Before You Ask.

Do I need to buy hardware separately?
Yes. The $9,500 engagement fee covers labor, configuration, software, and deployment. Hardware is purchased separately. We'll give you a specific hardware recommendation based on your team size and document volume — typically $3,000–$8,000 for a capable workstation-class machine. We can source it for you or work with hardware you already own.
What if I have more than 2,000 documents?
The 2,000-file limit covers most small firm deployments. If you have a larger library, we can discuss an expanded indexing scope. Additional document ingestion is scoped and priced based on file count and document complexity — typically straightforward to extend.
Is this a subscription? Are there monthly fees?
No. The Starter Deployment is a one-time fixed-price engagement. Once deployed, the system runs on your hardware with no ongoing fees to Sovarrow. There are no API costs, no cloud subscriptions, and no licensing fees. The 30-day support window is included; ongoing support after that is available as a separate arrangement.
How does access control work — do employees need logins?
Yes, and that's by design. The interface (Open WebUI) gives each team member their own account — username and password set up by your admin in about 20 minutes. No per-seat fees, no external identity provider required. If your firm is already on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, we can configure single sign-on so employees log in with credentials they already use. SSO is available as an add-on; it's not included in the base scope because first-time configuration against a client's tenant can vary in complexity depending on your IT environment.
Can this be done remotely, or do you need to come on-site?
Most of the deployment can be done remotely via secure remote access. For clients with strict security requirements, we also offer on-site deployment in the Greater Boston area. Remote deployments are typically faster; on-site adds 1–2 days to the timeline and may incur a travel fee depending on location.
What happens after 30 days?
The system continues to run entirely on your hardware — no dependency on Sovarrow after handoff. If you want ongoing support, additional document ingestion, or are ready to expand to the full Sovereign Stack, we're available. There's no pressure and no lock-in.
How does this relate to the full Sovereign Stack?
The Starter Deployment is fully compatible with the Sovereign Stack. Think of it as Phase 1. If you decide to expand — more documents, multi-user governance, enterprise networking, compliance logging — we build on top of what's already there. Nothing gets replaced. Nothing gets wasted.
